An approach for Model-based design of control system development has dominated aerospace and automotive industry for the last few decades. It has been an accepted software development methodology by most industries. Start from model in loop simulation, to a hardware in loop simulation, down to actual environment testing with an iterative workflow. The conventional approach has an issue of maintaining one simulink model for the whole workflow, and exclusion of microcontroller periphery along with analog circuit in the controller model. This book addresses a unique, proven and practical work flow for modelling a complete system including control software, microcontroller peripherals, analog circuit component, and all plant component using MATLAB Simulink and State-flow chart for hybrid vehicle starter generator motor control system design.
