Vor diesem Hintergrund verfolgen die Autorinnen und Autoren des Bandes die aktuellen Entwicklungen in der gymnasialen Oberstufe. Von besonderem Interesse ist die Frage, welche Auswirkungen Standardisierung auf die individuellen Bildungsprozesse von Schulerinnen und Schulern haben und auf die Gestaltungsspielraume von Lehrkraften, auf den Unterricht und auf den hoechsten allgemeinbildenden Schulabschluss. Bezogen auf die Zukunft von Abitur und Matura wird diskutiert, ob eine Zunahme an Standardisierung zu mehr Qualitat fuhrt und zu einer Erhoehung der Vergleich-barkeit der Abschlusse.
