Turkiye icin ihracata dayali buyume hipotezini test eden calismalarda genellikle ihracatin bilesenlerinin ayri ayri buyumeye etkileri degil de toplam ihracatin buyumeye etkileri arastirma konusu yapilmistir. Oysa belirli ihracat kategorileri ile ilgili ihracata dayali buyume hipotezini destekleyen kanitlar olsa bile, bu durum toplam ihracat seviyesinde analiz yapildiginda goerulememekte ve yaniltici sonuclara ulasilabilmektedir. Bu nedenle ihracata dayali buyume hipotezi test edilirken ihracatin toplaminin degil, bilesenlerinin buyumeye etkisinin arastirilmasi oenem tasimaktadir. Bu calismada 1969-2013 doenemindeki Turkiye ihracatinin bilesenlerinin buyumeye etkisi zaman serisi ekonometrisi araclari kullanilarak incelenmistir.
