Arastirmada 25 haftalik yasta kahverengi hibrid yumurtaci tavuklari kullanilmistir. Denemede, yumurta verimi % 3.5 Ca duzeyinde, yumurta agirligi % 3.0 Ca ve % 0.15 Py duzeyli ve sitrik asit ilaveli yemle beslenenlerde yuksek bulunmustur. Ak yuksekigi ve haugh birimi % 3.0 Ca duzeyinde sitrik asit ilavesiyle dusmustur. Taslik ve jejenum pH'si % 0.35 Py ve % 3.5 Ca duzeylerinde sitrik asit ilavesi ile oenemli artis goestermistir. Tibia kemigi kulu % 0.35 Py duzeyinde sitrik asit ilavesiyle artmistir. Kan serumu Ca ve P icerigi, % 3.0 Ca icerikli yemlere sitrik asit ilavesiyle artmis, % 3.0 kalsiyum duzeyi kabuk kulu kalsiyum icerigini arttirmistir. Kalsiyumun % 3.5 ve Py'un % 0.35 duzeylerinde sitrik asit ilavesi, Ca ve P tuketimlerini arttirmis, kalsiyumun fazla tuketilmesi birinci doenemde Ca sindirilebilirligini arttirmistir.
