Zur Unterstutzung von Politik, Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und anderen interessierten Gruppierungen bei der Erarbeitung moeglichst rationeller Emissionsminderungsstrategien haben acht fuhrende wissenschaftliche Institutionen im IKARUS-Projekt energiewirtschaftliche Modelle und eine umfassende Technik- und Rahmendatenbank entwickelt. Deren Inhalte, Potential, aber auch Grenzen werden hier beschrieben und anhand von Beispielen verdeutlicht.
