This Festschrift in honor of Roger Bellon brings together contributions from Romance linguistics and literary studies devoted to the animal world portrayed in the Roman de Renart, fables and bestiaries, and, more generally, during the long production period that is the Middle Ages and in the work that this era has continued to inspire.
