Cord McCullough, "The Curse of the Chisholm Trail" is hired to assist her older brother and aunt searching the area to the west known as Comancheria for her. There, on the edge of the Llano Estacado, they make one last valiant stand in Palo Dura Canyon as forty miles north the native tribes attack the buffalo hunters at Adobe Walls. The historical elements of this novel cover the period of conflict between the white man and the Comanches from the period of 1836 through 1874. The theme of the novel is the conflict of cultures.
