Hypnosis on Trial

This is a fictionalized account of an actual trial from investigation through jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross examinations, closing arguments, and verdict.
In autumn 1979 in Back Bay, Boston, a young woman is found dead in an empty building, covered in blood, the victim of a heinous crime. Detective Gus Grazzi, a crusty veteran of Boston's homicide department, quickly zeroes in on a suspect. When a key witness has trouble recalling details from the night of the murder, Gus enlists a hypnotist to try to fill in the blanks. But will her testimony hold up in court?
What seemed like a slam-dunk case becomes riddled with doubt at the hands of corporate lawyer Red Czek. Based on a true story, Hypnosis on Trial is a fast-paced courtroom drama that calls into question the early use of hypnosis in trials: Will it lead to a wrongful conviction, or will the defendant get away with murder?
