The poet who sang of human love and human pain, is transformed by her touch into Narad, the heavenly bard who sings not only of the heavenly ecstasies but of earthly rapture experienced by the touch divine. He sings of the many moods of the infinite Grace and Love and the joy of the New Creation that awaits our discovery. He is indeed among the chosen ones whom God has chosen to love and who is born to serve Her. The poems of devotion and love for the Divine Mother that we find here are not merely the expressions of a personal love but a devotion and love that is vast enough to embrace all things in the Divine Beloved and discover his object of adoration in all beings and persons. It is this wide and intense movement of love and adoration for the Divine Mother that makes this anthology so very special. The other special distinction of these poems comes from the fact that what Narad reveals here is not just inner experiences with which the mystic has to often contend with, but the incomparable joy of experiencing the touch of the embodied Divine. To read these poems is to enter into meditation.
