Humphrey Black doesn’t get paid for his work with the organization. None of them do. But he and his friends have a purpose higher than money. The government is tracking them, so they use code names to communicate. A senator has a powerful, terrifying tool at his disposal: Natasha Markham. With the right chemicals, she’s capable of rewiring the human brain to make the person whomever she wishes. All she needs is time. And she’s chosen Black to prove her point. But the damage the government is doing doesn’t just extend to the organization. When a local reporter suddenly becomes the rope in the tug-of-war between the government and the organization, she must pick a side before it’s too late.
