This small book belongs to that area of Biblical studies called Christology. The scope of this subject will include three aspects: the personality of Christ, the work of Christ, and the states of Christ. Jesus is both human and divine. He shows us who God is and He shows us what we ought to be. Or to put the same thing in Biblical terminology, in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And still, He was in all points tempted, like as we are, yet without sin. Herein is found the mystery of godliness. Get this lesson right and everything else will fall into place.
