Benny Wright reasoned that the most critical number was one. It only took one tragic event or one losing ticket at the racetrack to sack a human’s will to live. What he didn’t know at the time that he had this brilliant insight was that he would have two life-altering events in rapid succession, neither of which he could have seen coming. The man was an artist, musical composer, lyricist and performer. His mission in life was to provide a better lifestyle for the people he loved most, his wife and two children. Yet after repeated setbacks, he concludes that he’s failed them. Now he concocts what most would consider an ill-conceived plan to save his family. Desperation is not a friend to love and devotion.
