While Walton does not readily forgive the world its many failings, this collection is replete with the poet’s signature tenderness and lyricism, a bustling paean to Eros, Sophia and empatheia. This quality wedded to the poet’s nimbleness of thought, and keen eye, are like a falling butterfly tapestry that keeps the reader spellbound, wondering where his poetic imagination will take us next.
