This is the autobiography of Ibrahim Ghawanmeh, born in 1957 to a Palestinian family that was expelled from their village in southern Palestine in 1948. The author takes you through the early years of the family's struggle to make ends meet, followed by life in several refugee camps in Jordan after the 1967 annexation of the remainder of his country. He gets a lucky break and gets educated in England. He then returns to the Middle East to establish a better life for his family. This is The Story of how he moves from absolute poverty to becoming the owner and director of a multi-million-dollar company. This is The Story of the life experiences of a man who finally makes a one-day visit to Jerusalem 52 years after leaving Palestine as a ten-year-old boy with no glimpse of hope in his eyes. The Story highlights the poverty, suffrage and hardship imposed on Palestinian refugees and how the life of one refugee has significantly changed over the years.
