Radica and Marko are lovestruck teenagers in nineties Bosnia, but their blissful innocence is shattered by the dawn of a savage genocide which they are powerless to escape.

When a cruel turn of events leaves them orphaned, torn apart, and fearing each other dead, they are left to fend for their survival alone.

Captured and forced into conscription, they find themselves the custodians of new father figures, nemesis Generals from warring Serb and Croat armies, but the final battle won't be fought until many years later on the gangland streets of a faraway country, when Radica and Marko will finally come face to face and have to choose between love and loyalty.
