In the Old Testament, Lot is not a character who is studied much. We tend to study the heroes of the faith and overlook many of the minor characters. This is a great pity as there is so much to learn from every character and every story in the Bible. In creating this book on Lot, we hope to rectify that in a small way.

The studied covers the life of Lot from his beginning in Ur of the Chaldees, his journey to Canaan with his Uncle Abraham. It then follows the prosperity they both enjoyed, which led to the requirement for them to part company. From this point, Lot, no longer under the influence of the Godly Abraham, slipped into trouble, time and time again.

Read and learn from the rescue by Abraham and then the miraculous rescue just before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. This is truly an epic tale and we have tried to bring out the reasons why it all happened and what it means for us in the twenty-first century. It is a very sad story, but it ends a little differently than you would expect.
