In 1834, in the Forbidden City, Song Taizu is soon to be the new emperor of China. The best tailors have come to the palace with sample garments, and Song Taizu must choose the most magnificent one for his enthronement ceremony.

One of the tailors brings his daughter, Shan, and Song Taizu is instantly captivated by her sweet, triangular face and cherry-like mouth.

Shan, eager to catch a glimpse of the future emperor, looks at him for just a second - breaking the rule. From that moment, Song Taizu falls madly in love with her, and she with him.

In 2015, in a small village in northern India, a group of very old masters - all herbalists and yoga teachers - gather for a meeting called by the Chinese master, Master Ho. He tells them the story of Song Taizu and Shan, and of a golden box the emperor wanted Shan to have if anything tragic happened to him.

Master Ho urges his friends to go on a journey to retrace Shan's steps. Will this group of very old men succeed in tracking her down? And, could they be lucky enough to find, after all this time, the golden box?
