Relationships are propelled by moments, flashes of longing, loss, jealousy and dysfunction, moments that reveal people’s true motivations and desires. De/tached exposes these instances through a diverse mixture of prose, play, and poetry. Whether a seasoned cowboy shook from complacency by a hitchhiker’s camera, a handcuffed boy seeking refuge from an older man or a troubled sleeper’s encounter with a peppermint-smelling dragon, all the characters in De/tached face moments that illuminate their relationships and if acted upon, could change their very existence. De/tached is a bilingual collaboration of 13 writers from Wales, England, Canada and the United States, joining forces under a common theme: relationships.
