Sachin’s Creed: The Hundred

Sachin is a young boy who dreams. He lives and sleeps for the game of cricket, his whole family lives for cricket and he idolises his cricket-mad father. Sachin’s father has long harboured a secret ambition that one of his sons will one day be good enough to play for India, but Sachin dreams of one day scoring the winning runs in a World Cup final for England.
Sachin does not get many chances to play team cricket in primary school, so when his father is asked to help form a team to take on ‘Beston Under-16s’ in an annual grudge match, he jumps at the chance to show off his skills with his father’s encouragement.
As the match day quickly approaches, Sachin’s ‘clueless’ and inexperienced team are put further to the test when they learn that the match will be streamed live on the internet so that coaches can analyse the players. Sachin must remain focussed in order to impress against older and stronger quality players.
Could he get close to overcoming such overwhelming odds?
