Rising world population is often mentioned as a key factor impacting the environment. But there is more to a rising world population. A Holistic Treatise on Overpopulation is shining a light on overpopulation from all possible angles: environmental impacts, a critical review of food and resource security, quality of life, rising inequality, migration, developmental problems of large families, cultural bias, affordability of longevity, rights and ethics. The book is addressing problems in both the developed and developing world. The world needs a coherent ethical and legal framework to limit the fertility rate to no more than two children per woman. This should first start in the developed world, by introducing a tax for people who want more than two children, progressive with the number of children and income, to prevent rich people from showing off with large trophy families.
