Miriam Latimer studied illustration at the University of the West of England, gaining a first class honors degree in 2003. She says that her most elaborate illustrations are inspired by the smallest of things - something someone said, or a sweet wrapper, or a road sign! Miriam is the author and illustrator of many other beloved Barefoot books, including Emily’s Tiger, Shrinking Sam, and the popular Ruby series (Ruby’s Baby Brother, Ruby’s School Walk, and Ruby’s Sleepover), along with the inaugural Barefoot Books Build-a-Story Cards deck, Magical Castle.
