Breowakoe awoke in his perfectly preserved body, two thousand years after his death. As he came to, a peculiar energy called him to the edge of the forest where, in the distance, a large emerald portal split the land and towns to stretch across the sky. With terrible, grinning spectres pouring in from the other world, Breowakoe traversed the portal, and emerged in an obliquely familiar, once-heavenly realm of perpetual night turned into a twisted version of itself by a deeper, more ominous dark. Strange and terrible creatures prowl the endless forests, but with help from other humans in the lightless dream, Breowakoe may find a way to close the portal forever.
