Little Spirit and the Windows of Gold
A J Freer
Lost gold. Ancient symbols. Queen Elizabeth 1st's forgotten palace. And, of course, two very determined treasure- hunting children. Perfect for children aged 7-12.
When Little Spirit and his friend, Eliza, visit Ashridge House and learn the story of the Abbot's Gold, they're desperate to see the stained-glass windows said to hold clues to find it.
Maxie, the flamboyant, cloaked tour guide, dismisses the story as mere folklore, but when Little Spirit finds a strange symbol etched into a well, he's convinced he's onto something.
But the race is on to decipher the clue and escape the estate manager, children-loathing Mr Scripps. Is there gold to be found? And who will get there first?
Book four in the series is set at the stunning Ashridge House, a vast palace lived in by Queen Elizabeth 1st when she was growing up, and based on a true story of lost gold and clues to its location hidden in the stained glass windows of the chapel. Ideal for fans of Enid Blyton's mystery adventures, the Adventures on Trains Series, The Adventurers and those who enjoy the plot twists and turns of the Harry Potter books.
