Clarisse's story continues in Beyond the Stars.

Swept away to Tyrladan, the Afterlife, Clarisse has little time to rest in peace. Instead, she finds herself being tracked down by the fearsome unicorn, Leyun, who has been sent to drag her soul to the Neylka, where she would be erased from existence.

Determined not to let her suffer such a fate, Death and Bast, an ancient goddess, work together to help Clarisse learn to wield her powers in a world where the rules have changed. Now, where magic once threatened to end her life, it may prove to be the only chance she has at keeping Leyun from swallowing her up and dooming her to nothingness.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Terrence finds himself in a quandary. Absolved of his sins, he's free to live a life where Death is not always nipping at his heels, threatening to drag him to the depths of Hell. But a devastating break in the path of justice leads him to face the prospect of damnation again, should he choose to undertake retribution himself. Will he take on the role of rogue reaper once more, or will he learn from his mistakes and take the freedom he's been gifted?
