Love Letters From The MuM
Gwendolyn Cody-Davis
In today’s digital world, seldom do we receive or send personalized letters–especially those of the love letter sort. This book is just that-inspiring letters that reveal real-life lessons and the relevant promises of God, as revealed through His Holy word.In the first letter, I discuss the issue of Faith over Fear. I don’t know a person alive, no matter how powerful, how intelligence, or how anointed, that does not experience fear at certain times. Many have conquered fears, while expanding faith. This letter describes how I did it, and how I continue to walk by faith, and not by sight. In another letter, I discuss life lessons learned through the prism of trouble. This letter explains that trouble comes to everyone, the elite, and the commoners, but it is how you handle trouble that reveals the true you. For the believers, the book of Job quickly comes to mind. We are aware that Job’s story was not without purpose. God definitely took him through to bring him out. When you have been walking with the Lord for a little while, this quickly becomes your testimony, it’s more than a cliche, when we say, won’t He do it? Living on the Positive Side of Life is one of my favorite letters, because there is such a place, and my goal is to dwell there on a daily basis. There is a song that bears these lyrics, though trials come on every hand, I feel like going on. With all of the negative and toxic situations in our midst, you have to make up your mind, that you will remain positive. You will only reap the seeds that you sow. When situations present themselves to you, know you have already been given the authority to handle them, do so, and press on. The bible lets us know in Isaiah 26:3 that He (the Lord) will keep us in perfect peace, when we keep our minds on Him. Now, I don’t know about you, but as for me, I’ll take not only the peace but the perfect peace! When I receive God’s perfect peace, I believe I can live on the positive side of life. Anything that comes around the corner in a negative fashion, I can and I will shut it down. The book ends on a happy note, perhaps a high C, with encouragement and positive vibes to help you desire to become determined in making your dreams come true. Everyone has dreams, inspirations, and of course, purpose, even if you are not yet aware of your God given purpose. Always remember these words, whatever you can imagine, whatever you can dream, and whatever you desire, you can have it. I have dreams too, and if you are reading this, you are a part of my dream, but guess what? You can do it too.Through these heartfelt letters, Gwendolyn Cody-Davis shows you how to slow down and tune into the power of God so he can reveal his promises to you. You’ll learn to see your life as a classroom, where each lesson is an opportunity to discover how to look inward-and upward-so you can evolve into your best self and improve your entire life. Readers are reminded that every day is a test, but the good news is this: God did not set you up to fail, but to pass with flying colors. And your first lesson is just a few pages away.
