Dajao Taru stepped onto a boat at a dock in the Philippines, expecting to be a domestic worker in the United States.She has not been seen since. Her sister Halina, who is in the US on a college scholarship, can’t go to the police because Dajao is undocumented. Instead, she seeks help from a well-known investigative reporter named Gail Turner.
