The River of Life Poetry Collection is a book of thirty poems created over a few years. The poems are not based on any real life situations. However, reflection, observation and imagination, would inevitably have played a part in their formation. The words have not been forced but gently flowed, outlining the beauty and wonder of life, recording precious moments but also noting life's fragility and value. Readers may find that the language used within some of the poems resonates with their own life experiences, therefore, bringing memories to the fore. Each of the poems tells its own creative story for the reader, outlining the natural course of life that can be filled with so much happiness and joy but may also be tinged with immense sadness and pain. The reader will have the opportunity to identify with the stories portrayed, whether this is from the innocence of youth through to older age or sharing their journey with someone special as an adult. A few poems demonstrate the imperfections of people and the devastation caused while others represent kindness and devotion, offering a reminder to the reader of the importance of words and the way in which they are used.
