Chloe can’t wait to get out of Dodge, which in her case is Bucksville, California. She’s tired of high school, small-town gossip, and most of all looking after her alcoholic mother.

Chloe is tough, a straight-A student with a deadly penchant for knife throwing. She’s all set to fly to worlds beyond when four bad actors come to town with bad intentions for the sheriff, Jim Boulder. Chloe’s fiercely protective of her sheriff. Her attempt to offer help soon puts her in the crosshairs of the bad guys who’ve come fully locked, loaded, and looking for blood. Chloe should leave law enforcement to the professionals and focus on caring for her mother. Or she should hop on a plane and start her new life. She knows this. But Chloe fights for what she believes is right, even if it might kill her.
