When Sergeant First Class Haley and 35 other Soldiers in Detachment 25 deployed to Afghanistan on a mission to mentor the training and development of the Afghanistan National Army, they did not know how chewed up the situation was. Selected from volunteers within the Ninety-Fifth Division, the Army Reserve Drill Sergeants of Det. 25 discovered that training the ANA was a joke. Afghanistan was a toilet that needed to be flushed of its Taliban turds, but that was never going to happen.
