Shelby Evans, an accomplished journalist in the Metropolitan area of Chicago, convinced that to achieve her goals of safety and appreciation for lasting values, relocates to rural Kentucky. After accepting a position as assistant editor of the local paper, she stumbles into the lives of evildoers after her truck plunges into a ditch along a country road.
