A Father’s Heart is a modern version of the parable the prodigal son. The book is based on a father William Johnson and his two sons John and Bobby Johnson. William, John, and Bobby just recently lost the matriarch of the family, William’s wife and John and Bobby’s mother. The setting is on the West Side of Detroit, Michigan. The father and sons own a family restaurant that has been in business for forty-five years. Things begin to change when Bobby who is the youngest son becomes involved with drugs, some ruthless individuals and money, valuables in the home and business become missing. William feels he has tried to rear both young men into respectable individuals. He taught them to reverence God and never compromise their dignity and accountability.
