Allen believes strongly in critical thinking and critical analysis, which led him to critically analyze the thoughts conveyed by individuals and reply to those thoughts that he wanted those individuals to ponder over. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ; Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; my pastor, Rev. Charles B. Dawson; and several others have taught him to always ask the critical questions, even when the relative answer is or answers are not readily available at the time of asking. When he engages the underlying assumptions built into most, if not all, of the materials that he has heard, read, or thought about, with his critical antennas, several questions and other thoughts come to mind that convince him that the author(s) of those materials really didn’t critically analyze their respective materials. This book is a collection of articles that he wrote as a reply to blogs and other means of communication. It is his hope, it is his expectation, it is his wish, it is his dream that, one day, we will fully grasp the underlying assumptions of the materials that we present to others. For example, he really wishes preachers and religious teachers would really take the time out and critically wrestle with a text before engaging it before their hearers. The old-timers used to prohibit Saturday night specials, thus forcing presenters to critically analyze texts before presenting them. If nothing else, please take from this book the joys and the necessity of critical thinking and analysis. He chose not to use words that did not convey his thoughts.
