Ms. Lily White is Jennifer Collins, a psychologist who is counseling six males who come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and who have returned more than once to the same Colorado prison and now have volunteered for the Homeward Bound Program (HBP). Her passion and devotion lies with lowering the recidivism rate, which she has definite ideas about. Her distraction is the fact that Detective Malloy has informed her that there are two people, not one, who are trying to kill her. Collins felt that pure serendipity had fallen on her when she met and started dating her trophy beau, Peter Winslow. But her best friend, psychiatrist Jeff Hanes, and his lawyer friend, Robert Henderson, discover terrifying facts about Winslow. But how will Hanes, who is in love with Collins, convince her of who Winslow really is? Neither Hanes nor Henderson want to go to Detective Malloy because it could destroy Collins’s tedious hours establishing the HBP, not to mention it would put her life in immediate jeopardy. Both men agree that they have to come up with a plan to stop Winslow before he convinces Collins to marry him, making her exempt from testifying against him.
