A replica reprint of the first edition of the Syriac Gospels , published by J. A. Widmanstadius and Moses of Mardin in 1555, coupled with Widmanstadius’ primer Syriacae linguae prima elementa. This 500-copy limited collector’s edition is custom bound, with long lasting high-quality acid-neutral paper, rich fabric endsheets, permanent satin ribbon page marker, and illustrative stamping of the original leather cover. The replica edition is based on a rare copy of the Gospels preserved at the Bible Museum in Munster, and a rare copy of the elementa from the George A. Kiraz private collection.
