God was faithful to do what He said He’d do, but the Israelites had to obey and participate in the long and difficult process. The same will be true for us. Regardless of circumstances, God’s call is to leave the life of bondage and enjoy His freedom. Amy’s prayer is that her readers will be inspired (by scripture and her story) to courageously trust God in the middle of life’s most difficult circumstances, because trust leads to obedience. Amy Rogers is a wife, mother, and former elementary school teacher. She is a follower of Jesus and lover of God’s Word. In 2011, Amy’s husband, Scotty, confessed adultery. At that moment, life changed completely. However, the truths God had spoken through Bible study, mentors, and His Holy Spirit never shifted. In fact, the darkness of sin and trauma only served to spotlight the joy and beauty of God’s sovereignty. Although Amy never aspired to be an author, she has a passion to share the lessons God taught during the journey of healing and restoration.
