If I’d known Chip’s passing would make him famous, we would have had more escapades to make the story interesting! The story is endearing because of its simplicity. In Brown Dog you’ll meet Chocolate Chip, a brown labrador retriever-mix whose life and passing motivated his person to make a difference in the lives of others. At age four, Chip was surrendered by a family who couldn’t pay for a tumor removal. After the rescue group had the tumor removed, he was adopted by a single woman who doted on him. When Carol adopted Chip, she lamented to the rescue group, It’s a shame there isn’t an organization who could have helped his family pay for the care he needed so they could keep him. Never did she expect to experience the same scenario herself. Brown Dog has inspired many to do good work. He will inspire you too.
