What started as a simple tool for communicating with family and friends has grown into so much more. It became therapy for the author, a roadmap for those that may follow and, we hope, an inspiration to those who are willing to look beyond acceptable practice and take charge of their own treatment options. This journey has expanded our outlook on life, opened our hearts in ways we never thought possible, and introduced us to a culture we never would have dreamed we would experience in our lifetime.
