A young couple meets during a Carnival celebration in their beloved city of Lisbon, beginning a passionate and challenging journey together that will span two countries and two political revolutions. Told through Tiago and Marta’s eyes, Cycles explores how lives, families and careers changed, for the worse and for the better, as Portugal fought to find democracy in the early 1970s in the wake of the Carnation Revolution, a turbulent military coup d'etat.
