Sur une ile lointaine, un ami inimaginaire nait. Il attend patiemment d'etre imagine par un enfant pour aller le rejoindre, mais en vain. Lasse d'attendre son tour, la petite creature part a l'aventure pour trouver lui-meme son compagnon. Il vogue jusqu'a une ville animee ou il rencontre Alice, l'enfant a qui il est destine. Heureux, Beekle et Alice partent a l'aventure dans un monde qui, grace a leur rencontre, leur semble un peu moins etrange.

This magical story begins on an island far away where an imaginary friend is born. He patiently waits his turn to be chosen by a real child, but when he is overlooked time and again, he sets off on an incredible journey to the bustling city, where he finally meets his perfect match and–at long last–is given his special name: Beekle.
