If They Catch You, by Marie Hansen, is an introduction to Deputy Clem Watters, of the U.S. Marshal’s office. The midnight disappearance of his grade school buddy, Todd, is what led Clem to pursue his career in the U.S. Marshal’s office. People just couldn’t leave like that! We follow Clem through his professional trials as he tries to keep tabs on his latest Witness Relocation charge, Candace Lowery a.k.a. Gina Averill, who is the only person who can identify a mass murderer. The If They Catch You characters add a lighthearted element to the story, and take the reader on a closer look at Clem’s life and work. From the honky-tonk cowboys to the Las Vegas Slot Diva, this story will keep you laughing and wondering if Candace survives. Even the mass murderer shows comedic moments once the reader gets beyond the hideous crimes he commits. Book Two in the Clem Watters series is tentatively titled R'Venge and we will see the return of Clem’s friend, Todd, as a major character.
