Arthur Gordon Pym: A Romance is a novel written by the renowned American author Edgar Allan Poe and published in 1898. The first part of the book tells the story of Pym's voyage on the ship Grampus, which is headed to the South Seas. The crew of the Jane Guy discovers a group of natives living on an island, but their peaceful encounter turns violent when the natives attack the ship. Pym and a few other survivors are once again rescued by a passing ship.The third part of the book tells the story of Pym's final journey, this time with a friend named Dirk Peters. The two men set out on a journey to find the South Pole, but they encounter a series of strange and terrifying events along the way.Throughout the novel, Poe explores themes of adventure, survival, and the unknown.
