This family is traced from Philadelphia, PA., to Baltimore and Hagerstown, MD., to York, Carlisle, Pittsburgh, Beltzhoover, and Castle Shannon, PA., Natchez, MS., and points west. One Beltzhoover, Col. Daniel Beltzhoover, graduated from West Point and served in the Civil War as a Confederate. Though considerable is contained herein of his life and career, a book, in and of itself, could be made. To cap this historical and family migration, there is a 5,000 name index that is cross-referenced with maiden names.
