Many years ago we were doing a joint revival in our church. Now for those that do not know what a joint revival is, let me share it with you. You see, we had several preachers in our church and we felt a need to have a revival. The Lord drew us together and we came up with a theme, one that became increasingly important to me through my years as a minister. That theme was the Mantle of Elijah. I was given the honor of being the final speaker on the series and my topic was to be on the Responsibility of the Mantle. The more I researched and studied about the responsibilities that are associated with the mantle, the more concerned I became for a lack of teaching in the church concerning our own responsibilities. Let us go on. Stay with me as we journey into the realm of reality according to God’s Word. Father, grant the reader an open heart, steady mind, and greater compassion for Your Word.
