A certain allegory for the current trend of western politics is at work here, showing the stark divide between the outspoken few who rest along the extremes of our populations, and make us feel alienated from one another. The story of love and loss unfolds hauntingly before the reader's eyes, leading them into a true relationship with the characters, and poses an answer to the question addressed throughout the pages: Why are we here?
