Young Artists of Saint Louis was created to give a chance to the underdog, to give them the light. I firmly believe that if someone cares about what they create, that they deserve a chance. A chance to be published, seen, and treated like a professional. A chance they may never get because of their age or experience. I also care about my community. Born and raised in Saint Louis, I wanted to give an opportunity to artists in the city. It is a big world, and sometimes you just have to look at those around you. The book features 19 artists under the age of 25 and from the Saint Louis greater area. Each artist was given a full two page spread with one page featuring their art, and the other containing a short biography.
