Fortunately for the humans, a race of beings made of light known as Apex living above the sky descended from the clouds to fight for their protection. In this story, the Vanguard Ilyana has cast aside her former human self in order to fight among the Dead Lotus, one of the Apex army's most competent stealth teams. King Daedelus has gone missing, and Princess Nadine suspects a traitor within Rodenhold's Council. As the tides of war continue to rise, the dark priest Unduzi unveils his diabolical plot to resurrect the Zenith God and unleash its devastation upon all of existence.
