The Tale of Teddy Bloor Mm
Richard Cribb
The true story of a young man from Staffordshire who emigrated to Fiji, where he was the first man to drive a motor car. Returning during the Great War to fight for King and Country, his bravery won him the Military Medal, but he lost several close friends. He found love in an unexpected place, the Isle of Sheppey. He returned to Fiji where his new bride and child joined him in 1920. On his journeys he encountered danger and met many fascinating people. A born leader, he was selected as Regimental Sergeant Major to train the Fijian native troops, who would act as a bodyguard to HRH Prince of Wales, when he visited their Pacific Island. His grandson has pieced together the many records that tell his tale.
