FAREWELL TO THE LAST DRIVE-IN (A Play in Two Acts) is a stage play about longing, change, and coming of age. It focuses on a pivotal night in June 1989 at the Santee Drive-In Movie Theatre. GREER ORTEGA is the heroine singer/songwriter/actress who must choose between marriage and career. During this night at a special ceremony in which the Prom King and Queen will be crowned and the names of scholarship recipients will be announced, the high school seniors will be catapulted onto new levels, resulting in eurphoria, disappointment, hurt, and finally each teen will be forced to face the future affected by this night. Original songs by Jackie DeShannon add excitement and enrich this romantic comedy.
