The Attendance Was A Distinguished One, Comprising The Representatives Of The State And City, The Foremost Figures In The Professional, Industrial And Commercial Life Of The Metropolis, The Largest Number Of Club Members In The History Of The Organization And The Most Numerous Gathering Of The American Hierarchy Ever Assembled. The Cardinal’s Address On That Occasion Was An Utterance Of Unusual Significance.
