Stevesa Garden Tales is a collection of short-short stories, poetry, prose, and streams of conscious thoughts written for and about my friends and family members, while planting and growing a backyard garden in the years 2001 through 2003. Starting with the opening piece, aVillage Mother, a to the conclusion in aTeachers: A Litany, a each is a testament to a strong, positive network of family and friends. The reoccurring theme is love, loyalty and trust, or in one word, family. I say these pieces are about my family, but we are all family, so they will hopefully touch on topics of interest to each of you individually. Everyone knows or has a aVillage Mother, a and in every family there is an aUncle Neckbone.a We live in one world and we are one people in spite of small differences, and our stories are the same. These are the tales from my garden. Enjoy.
